A Clean Bill of Health...

Abyss, bless them, have been in touch with some Very Senior People at Seko, and I suspect sterm words may have been exchanged, behind my finely-sculpted silicone back.

My guy received the following yesterday, from the nice folk at Abyss:

"[Senior Seko guy]: Looks like the doll is fine, apparently the crate end loosened up from handling. Below is the response we received from or London office.

Seko UK: After checking the doll I can confirm that she is fine, no visible damage or smudges. From what I could see everything was intact. We have received [my guy]'s cheque today so we will have to wait for the funds to clear before we can arrange delivery. In this time we will fix the box up the best we can."

It's Not Seko's Fault.

I've had some discussions with other dolls who have had crate damage, and it appears it's an airline thing; crates heavier than ours might be readily able to support, occasionally get put on top of our crates in the aircraft hold, at which point things start to go wrong. Still, given the robust way that Abyss pack us within the crate, moderate crate damage won't affect us, unless it's in certain very specific areas.

From pictures my guy has seen of of other dolls' crates, it's not like we're short of "FRAGILE" labels. It appears that air freight leaves much to be desired, when it comes to instructions being followed...

Your guy's waiting reminds me my own waiting of a damaging crate :(
I hope you will take some pics of the crate as delivered so that we all can see how crates are treated during Airline's delivery (angry !)
Hopefully you're safe (Seko's report) and will say very soon "Hello the world !"
